Split System

If you know me, then I am pretty sure I have told you how Split System are the current best band in the world. With the release of their second album 'Vol II', I stand by this.
Another great band from Melbourne, Split System are rock n roll, garage and punk done brilliantly. With catchy lyrics, buzzing guitars and melodies that get stuck in your head for days, Split System are just cool.
'Vol I' was immediately one of my favourite records of the last ten years, then they released a single in anticipation of the second album and 'on the street' became the catchiest song of 2023.
It is rare that bands release a second album that is not only great but actually sounds better than the first, but Australian bands have a good track record of this, Royal Headache and Eddy Current Suppression Ring' both managed this to name a few.
'Vol II' is the album of the year so far and I doubt any one else will come close because it is just that good.

'Vol II' is the album of the year so far and I doubt any one else will come close because it is just that good. Word is next year on coming over and I cannot wait to see them as many times as possible before they disappear like all the great aussie bands.
